                                            Elementary Level


  

 

                   Work year/day          School Calendar/185 Days (2020/21 School Year)

 

          *****Work Hours:             6 ¼ hours per day including ½ hour unpaid lunch.                                                                                                            Consistent with applicable

                                                  Building; May be modified/flexed by building

                                                  Principal, including the option of afternoon or 

                                                  Evening meetings.

 

          Salary                               $40,000  

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  1. Certified or licensed as a counselor or social worker (preferred).
  2. Background/experience in counseling or social work (required).
  3. Experience with middle school-aged youth.
  4. Such other qualifications as may be identified.

 

Sample Duties:

 

  1. Identify at-risk students.
  2. Develop individual and small group sessions for academic intervention and discipline prevention.
  3. Develop behavior plans.
  4. Monitor student attendance, discipline, and academic progress.
  5. Meet with parents and staff regarding intervention plans and progress.
  6. Work to develop school/community partnerships with outside organizations that support at-risk youth.
  7. Work with and enhance existing mentoring program for at-risk youth at school.
  8. Other duties as may be assigned by the building principal.

 

This assignment will be filled for the 2020/2021 school year.  Continuation of the position will be contingent on the availability of future grant funding.  Interested, qualified candidates must notify the Personnel Office, via the online TalentEd Hire system.  The posting will remain open until filled.
