Summary

 

A 40% - 100% schedule will be considered.  Speech-Language Pathologist responsible for the evaluation and treatment of students with speech and language impairments that adversely affect their progress in the educational setting.  These impairments may include deficits in articulation, language, fluency, or voice.  Speech-language Pathologists in the school setting may also serve on intervention teams and as support to general education staff and students.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  1. Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology with earned Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). Clinical Fellow Year candidates also considered.

 

Sample Job Duties:

 

  1. Assist and guide teachers in observing and referring students with suspected speech and/or language impairments.
  2. Provide evidenced based interventions and support for students with speech and language impairments.
  3. Serve as a resource to staff members in the implementation of academic interventions and support for students with speech and language impairments.
  4. Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to determine educational eligibility of speech and/or language impairments.
  5. Design and implement individualized education plans with measurable goals.
  6. Assist in proper referrals of individuals to agencies and specialists in the community as appropriate.
  7. Provide information, support and counseling to parents and families when appropriate.
  8. Complete required documentation, forms, and other paperwork in a timely manner.
  9. Perform other duties as may be assigned by the administration.
